Whether you want to save storage space or to be able to share your images via email and face a size limit, an image compression tool is the answer to your problems. Image Resizer is one of the applications that you can use, providing a simple and easy-to-use tool for reducing the size of your pictures.

A user-friendly interface greets you as soon as you launch the application. The main window prompts you to browse for the pictures you want to use as input by browsing for them on your PC. Despite expectations, there is no option to select a folder and let Image Resizer select all the compatible images. Instead, you will have to pick them yourself, one by one. On the other hand, images can be easily removed from the input list.

There are three different ways to resize your images. The first allows you to choose one of the available predefined sizes: small (500x500), medium (1000x1000), large (2000x2000) and larger (2500x2500). Alternatively, you can instruct Image Resizer to apply a size reduction percentage or use custom dimensions. Whichever method you choose, the conversion takes place easily and quickly.

The output is shown in the Results tab and what is worth noting is that the application allows you to preview the output and read all about its specifications and parameters, both before and after conversion.

Aside from the file’s name and size, you can see the file permissions, its timestamp details (creation date and the date of the last modification, the last time it was accessed), the file type, extension and version.

The Settings window comes with additional functionality.  Here, you can configure automatic renaming and name collision rules, change a file’s metadata and more.

Image Resizer can resize images in batch mode, providing a simple and comprehensive tool for you to process graphics.
