More specifically, if you are not interested in cleaning EXIF data from your photos, you can go directly to the tool that removes only GPS information or to the one that clears alternate data streams exclusively (comes in handy when you have downloaded the pic off the Internet).

However, most frequently, it is the EXIF data that needs to be stripped, since this metadata is automatically added onto all pics you snap with your smartphone or digital camera.

Photo Anonymizer requires you to first choose the source image(s), then specify the tags you want to erase. You can select between EXIF data, DICOM or IPTC, as well as XMP and other text metadata.

You have the possibility to keep the orientation tag and the DateTimeOriginal one, so as to preserve the orientation (landscape/portrait) and the recording data, respectively. Nonetheless, you cannot manually choose any other data to be kept, such as camera make and model.

Moreover, you can maintain the original timestamps of all processed graphic files by accessing the Settings section. This is also the place where you can assign a relevant filename to all edited images so the original files are not overwritten.
