ProStack

ProStack is a software solution that was created to provide users with a flexible experimental image processing platform. It features a module-based design, implementing each image processing method as a separate module.

It is possible to combine multiple modules in order to create a more complex image processing scenario, which can be used via the graphical user interface. Intermediate results can be viewed while the operation is taking place.

Any workflow you designed can be saved in the form of a complex program module, which you can then re-use in other workflows.

ProStack features an open architecture, the aim being to allow easy integration with any package for image processing purposes. The software is currently integrated with the Ontology of image processing methods, which can simplify the selection of a suitable method, as well as with the Matlab Image Processing Toolbox.

The ProStack platform is designed to be scalable, and it supports distributed processing and analysis of image data.

The software comes with an extensive user guide that can help new users get the hang of things, and detailed explanations are provided for every aspect of the program’s functionality. Example files are included, which can give you a good idea of how the platform works right off the bat.
