RapidSketch is a comprehensive yet accessible application that is suitable especially for house designer and constructors, to easily and efficiently design various plans, using specialized tools and corresponding symbols.

If it's the first time using such an app, it's recommended to take a bit of time to get familiarized with its functions, as they are many and diverse. It's wrapped in a stylish and well-organized interface, with multiple toolbars and pinnable panels, and with a menu similar to the Microsoft Word.

When run, a wizard is displayed, where you have to choose the measurement unit, and project type. Make sure you pick the right category, as you won't be able to change it afterward. The opening process may take a bit of time, as all the components are being built up. You have the option to create multiple projects at the same time.

To start, just draw the desired pattern on the sheet, uniting each point, until you get the design. Once the circle is complete, you are able to assign an area type, such as the basement, decks, patios, or slabs. On the right side of the window, the app provides a series of symbols that can be inserted, like doors, bifold, sliding, or garage doors.

Plus, from the menu, walls and shapes may be entered. To easily recognize the rooms, it's possible to label them, by dragging and dropping them into the design. Among them, you can find dining, entrance, kitchen, fence, study, or laundry.

The tool lets you modify the text look, by picking the desired font type, size, color, and style, as well as insert descriptive images. From the View menu, you can display the symbols, disable the grid, center and fit, and enable the autocomplete function. The project can be saved either as a picture or in the tool's specific format, RS.
