Slazzer

Slazzer is a program that will remove your pictures' original background in a simple, automatic way, without any technical intervention from the user.

Slazzer works based on credits. For each picture modification, you need one credit. In the beginning, each new user has a set of two credits they can use for any image change. The program allows us to remove a picture's background and keep the main element (someone's face, an object, or usually, a large, central element).

The exported file can be in PNG format (it displayes the central element, plus the transparent background), or in a JPG format, with the main point of interest, and a colored background in any prior chosen chromatic shade. You can add your pictures using the drag and drop function, in bulk, and they get automatically exported to the default output location (your user's Pictures folder).

The tool is simple and easy to use. It is preponderantly user-friendly, and you can get started with picture modifications in less than five minutes. After installing it, you must insert the program's corresponding API key for it to work. In order to obtain your free credits, you should create an online account, log in with your credentials (in the desktop app), and insert the API key.

In the program's settings, you have a button called 'Get API Key'. This will redirect you towards your online account's dashboard where you can quickly identify the API key, in the tab with the same name. Insert the key in your client application, configure the output folder for the pictures, and you are good to go.

To summarize, Slazzer does the job pretty well. Considering the types of pictures we used for testing the app, it did a decent job (but not spectacular). According to the developer's descriptions, the tool uses AI algorithms to detect a picture's main focus point. It is difficult to tell what kind of technology Slazzer is using. Although quite expensive for what it offers, it might be a good solution for non-technical individuals. For those who need professional results, there are plenty of other exceptional editing tools out there.
