If you are studying or working as an engineer or an architect, then we do not need to tell you about the widespread applicability of parallel and perpendicular lines in real life.

Squadra is small utility designed as a visual aid that helps you draw perpendicular lines and 90 degrees angles.

The interface of the application consists of the actual triangle-shaped instrument used to draw flawless angles and straight lines. The tool is set to be displayed on top of other programs, so it can come in handy when you are working on a building plan or when you want to make scale measurement for blueprints, for instance.

On a side note, the app also includes a context menu that enables you to configure the measurement utensil. More exactly, you can alter the size, rotation, when you are using the right-angle ruler, and opacity, so that it does not distract you from your work.

At the same time, the program allows you to lock the measurement tool on the screen, a function that can be handy when you are working on a building line and need to draw lines or measure angles.

The measurement utensil can be moved around using hotkey combinations, which you can preview by accessing the Help menu. It can take the shape of a circle, X circle or a set-square and you can select your favorite color for it.

While you have dozens of default colors to choose from, you can also create your own custom color, an option that can be useful when working on a background of a similar color.

While it can help draw lines and angles, it could use a feature that allows you to displays the angles' values or make other measurements, for instance.

From constructing a tree house or shelter for a dog to erecting a building with a strong foundation, the principle of perpendicularity is used in conjunction with modern measurement instruments. While it cannot replace actual knowledge, Squadra can lend you a hand when you are designing plans and blueprints.
