RAW Plug-in for Adobe (PLAD-RW1)

With all the advancements in the digital realm, especially those concerning data formats and corresponding compatibility, there still are issues, which derive mostly from proprietary formats. These prevent users from attaining better interoperability, and, consequently, efficiency in their interaction. This is the case for graphic formats, and the field of digital photography and videography is no stranger to such problems, and the latest Sony camera RAW format, MFX, is subject to compatibility issues with the Adobe family.

RAW Plug-in for Adobe (PLAD-RW1) was designed specifically in order to address such issues, and bring users the required compatibility with products of the Adobe family, such as Adobe Premiere Pro CC and CS6.

The plugin also offers support for other MFX image formats, such as F65, PMW-F55/F5, and NEX-FS700, and the provided capabilities’ scope encompasses both visualization and editing. Gamma and color space selection are also provided by the plugin.

Basically, the plugin will allow users the capability to work natively with the MXF formats, with support for 4K sequence preset and access to frame rates from 23.98p all the way up to 59.94p, for both RAW SQ and RAW Lite. This native transition will eliminate the requirement for transcoding when importing MFX data into Adobe.
