Autodesk FBX Review

Autodesk FBX Review is a complex yet very user-friendly piece of software developed to offer you the ability to display 3D assets and animations in a wide range of formats, allowing you to analyze their every detail with ease.

During the installation process, you have the option of making the utility your default viewer for multiple formats, including FBX, DAE, DXF, HTR, MDC and others, so you can open them just by double-clicking them.

Nonetheless, you can launch the tool from the created desktop shortcut, and subsequently open files using the assigned button from its interface. In the main window of Autodesk FBX Review lets you select the visualization mode from a dedicated menu, allowing you to opt for ‘Left’, ‘Front’, ‘Perspective’, ‘CharacterCam’ and others.

To work with a file in Autodesk FBX Review, you can right-click in the main window to reveal the available functions, for instance ‘Pause’ or ‘Skip’, while the glider enables you to flip and turn the object in your image on all its sides.

From the ‘Settings’ section of the application, you can choose to show ‘3D Grid’ or ‘3D Axis’, as well as ‘Scene Statistics’, being able to opt for the preferred ‘Display Object’ mode, namely ‘Presentation’, ‘Models Only’ or ‘All’.

You can also configure the ‘Shading’ mode as ‘Wireframe’, ‘Faceted’, ‘Shaded’ ‘Textured’, depending on your needs, letting you activate wireframe overlay and scene lights or real time shadows. Moreover, you can enable real time ‘Tessellation’ or you can set the ‘Time Display’ mode in frames or timecode.
