Enjoy your collection of pictures you just took with a camera either manually scrolling through them or in a slideshow which can run in fullscreen #Image viewer #View image #Photo preview #Viewer #Previewer #Preview
Pictures are a pretty common resource when working on a computer. Even the background of the desktop displays a cool image, and Windows lets you use its default tool to view them. However, you can also rely on third-party alternatives like Bmap which can also run slideshows and associate itself with different formats.
Before you can enjoy all the application has to offer, make sure that your computer is fitted with .NET Framework, because it's a mandatory requirement for functionality. On the bright side of things, the application itself doesn't require installation, so you can use it as a personal picture viewer directly from a thumb drive, without damaging the health status of the target PC.
In case no files are associated by default, and there aren't, running the application for the first time brings up an empty window. Loading sets of pictures is easily done by dropping them over the main window. You can bring up a list of files, even though the application automatically reads all items inside the target folder.
The application's window automatically gets resized whenever you switch to a new picture to show it in the best mode. There's also the possibility to start a slideshow of all pictures inside the source folder. Slide time is automatically adjusted, with no possibility to manually set it, or add any transition effects.
Navigation isn't done with arrow keys, but there are some assigned shortcuts. You can quickly jump to the first or last picture, or enable shuffle mode for better variety. An image you like can be instantly applied as your wallpaper, but with no option to cycle more. As export you benefit from a single option which lets you print.
All things considered, we can state that Bmap is a simple method of analyzing your collection of pictures. File association needs to be done for more comfort, while playback options let you enjoy pictures even in fullscreen mode. It's not packed with a rich set of features, but is a decent alternative to the default Windows tool.
