Cortona 2D Viewer

Cortona 2D Viewer is a component that allows viewing of various 2D graphics, including CGM, BMP, GIF, and JPEG. If installed, it allows Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office applications to display CGM graphics without you having to deploy other third-party software.

On the other hand, the integrated API can be integrated in an image viewing application to allow it to open various other 2D images, such as CGM, BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, WMF or EMF. The package features a shell extension that allows 2D image preview in Windows Explorer, while its supportfor WebCGM v2.0 facilitates 2D image viewing in Internet Explorer.

Please keep in mind that this component is designed solely to allow viewing of 2D graphics. To be able to open 3D graphics, you must install and use Cortona 3D Viewer.

Cortona 2D Viewer can also be used with RapidAuthor, the authoring suite signed by the same author. This allows orthogonal projections and support for SVG output. Additionally, 2D images created in procedures or catalogs are linked to the procedure action or the sheet, respectively, all allowing automatic updates.   The component is easily installed, providing setup files for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.
