AutoDWG DWGSee CAD

DWGSee is a useful tool for the engineers and CAD specialists who need to open files created with AutoCAD. The program supports the most used file formats such as DWG, DXF, DWF or even locked DWG files (DWL).

The interface of the program is easy to use and allows you to load the model, zoom in on the area that you want to examine and use a variety of tools to measure distances and add markup.

Since most DWG files include multiple layers for storing the model elements, the app is able to toggle the visibility of certain layers in order to easily view the important items.

You can use the measuring tools to calculate the length of a line or polyline with minimum effort. The area measurement tool also displays the perimeter of the model area selected with the mouse.

The markup support is extensive and allows you to explain the model using text boxes, take notes and add distance measurements with just a few clicks. Although the markup tool does not allow you to undo a certain modification, the included Markup Manager displays all the items from the current file in order to delete or edit them.

When it comes to exporting options, DWGSee can save the markup to a separate file and print the entire schematic in order to use it in presentations. It also has the option of converting the DWG file to a PDF document in order to share it with other users via email.

Besides the ability to examine DWG models, the program includes a more practical tool for comparing two models. The AutoDWG Compare app is able to display the models in a side-by-side view with synchronized zoom features in order to view the modified or new elements.
