Lunacy by Icons8 is a powerful, versatile app for creating and editing designs in a variety of formats. With the latest update, the tool is now infused with AI prowess and can lend a hand with shaping and elevating the creative process.

The application packs a user-friendly interface, but it may present some challenges if you are not familiar with design and Figma in general. Then again, the app has vast documentation, so you can learn the ropes in time.

A highlight of the tool is the vast library of pre-designed assets that include icons, drawing and UI components. Some of them are free, some are paid, and you always have the option to expand the collection from Figma directly. All of them are editable and easy to incorporate into your projects.

The graphic designer integrates AI algorithms now and that means you can automate various process in your workflow. For starters, the Image Upscaler allows you to enhance the resolution of images, ensuring clarity and visual brilliance.

Moreover, you can remove backgrounds from your images, seamlessly generate placeholder texts and create unique avatars with just one click.

While the tool is mostly known for managing SKETCH files, you can now also use Figma as well. Notable additions include support for frame transparency, corner radius, rotation, fills, borders, and effects.

It preserves Figma instance overrides related to corner radius, fills, borders, border options, effects, blending, typography, export options, lock, visibility, clip content, and auto layouts.

Despite these advancements, some Figma features are not currently supported in Lunacy, such as stars and polygons imported as vector paths, sections or smooth corner radius, for instance.
