From engineering to design and electronic technical drawings, 3D files are widely used nowadays. Not to mention that you do not need to have large applications installed on your laptop or computer to check them out. Mayo is a 3D file viewer that enables you to open various images along with their trees and properties.

The application comes with a double-window interface and you can get started by loading the image you want to check out. On the left panel, the tool displays various details about the current image, including, but not limited to label, computed area and volume, material, color, display mode or transparency.

You will be happy to learn that most of these properties can be easily modified by simply clicking on the dedicated edit button. As you would expect, you can preview the 3D image from different perspectives (3D clip planes with configurable capping) and zoom in and out to make sure that everything is according to the approved model. The program is also capable of both perspective and orthographic view projections.

It is worth mentioning that the tool works with various 3D formats, including STEP, IGS, IGES, STL, gITF, OBJ, OpenCascade BREP and VRML. To make things even simpler for anyone, the app enables you to save the current perspective as a standard image so you can easily share it with others who may not have similar tools installed on their PC.

In fact, Mayo allows you to customize the standard image by specifying the width, height, whether you want to keep the current ratio. You can preview the image before you can save it to formats such as PNG, BMP, PPM, XMP or PGM, for instance.
