Although Windows already includes a photo viewing application, Photos, the major criticism is the lack of advanced features. While you may not notice the issue when opening a photo occasionally, it becomes evident when you want to handle large albums.

Pixyne is a neat application designed for efficiently reviewing, organizing, and managing photo folders. It provides you with specific features such as the ability to quickly review photos, safely delete unwanted or similar shots, and adjust shooting dates.

As previously mentioned, the app is designed for organizing albums and the interface stands proof of that. The GUI is sleek, modern and intuitive, as it displays 3 photos at a time along with various details about them. You can navigate between your album via the key arrows or using the dedicated buttons under each image.

The details provided with each photo include EXIF, the date when the file was created and the Input, which stands for the last date it was modified. As a professional photographer, you can use the aforementioned data to clear your albums of unwanted or bad quality pictures.

One notable feature is its ability to automatically store the current state of the folder, allowing users to undo changes at any time before saving. Moreover, you can mark photos for deletion, adjust EXIF shooting dates, and efficiently manage large sets of photos.

The program offers a noteworthy organizational feature, namely copying original photos to an ‘originals’ subfolder and moving deleted photos to a ‘dropped’ subfolder upon saving. This helps users maintain a more organized file structure.

Without denying that Windows Photos is a decent photo viewer and organizer, Pixyne is a specialized tool that can come in handy if you are frequently handling large photo albums.
