PowerDicom

PowerDicom is a lightweight software application whose purpose is to help you manipulate DICOM files. You are allowed to view header data and analyze images.

The tool is able to read DICOM files and reveals information about images, patient, institution and physicians, devices and equipment, and more.

DICOM files can be imported in the working environment using the built-in browse button or drag-and-drop support. You may open remote DICOM files via FTP or HTTP connections, and load BMP and JPG images.

PowerDicom offers you the possibility to browse through patients, studies, series, and images, check out detailed information about tags, name, VR, VM, value, and length, activate the HEX display (useful for private tags), and search in DICOM files for attributes.

When it comes to exporting options, the program lets you save data to plain text file, HTML, or DOC file format, print the information, and send files via email using your default client.

Image viewing capabilities can be employed for jumping to the next or previous photo, exporting the pictures to JPEG or BMP file format, printing data, as well as embedding image watermarks (BMP). The utility supports cine display of multiframes or series and allows you to store the animations to AVI files.
