RoloViewer

With over one million selfies and photos taken every day over the globe on a daily basis, it does not come as a surprise that users would like to be able to view and organize their captured memories. As the name suggests, RoloViewer is a tool designed to help you view your picture collection as a slideshow neatly displayed in a digital photo frame.

The program comes with a clean and user-friendly interface that is unlikely to give you any troubles. While it is not very obvious at first, you can press F1 to get the menu of the application and view the commands for its various options, such as details, goto, crawler info, fullscreen or open a file or folder.

Regardless of what or how you prefer to view, the app displays the images in an elegant digital photo frame. Since the utility comes with an integrated exiftool reader, you will be happy to learn that you can preview the various details about the images, such as date, rating, camera model, lens used or the GPS location, for instance.

On a side note, for the time being, the program includes a single type of transition, namely crossfades. However, the developer intends to add several more in the future releases.

While it can be argued that you can achieve the same via the Windows Photo Viewer or Photos embedded app specific to Windows 10, a notable difference is that the app can exhibit pictures in JPG format in directories or playlists that also contain TXT and M3U files. Moreover, you can drag and drop single photographs or directories so you can inspect them further.

RoloViewer represents a good alternative for the image viewers provided by Windows and that comes with the benefit that it does not put too much strain on the system resources.
