Small Foto Viewer

Packed inside a lightweight archive, Small Foto Viewer provides a simple tool for opening common graphic formats and viewing images in slideshow mode.

One of its pluses is that is has a very small footprint and requires no installation, meaning you can easily use it on the go. The viewer is ready to go as soon as you double-click on the executable file, allowing you to open any image on your computer or browse a folder and go through a list of pictures.

When launching Small Foto Viewer for the first time, you might just not know what to do. If that is the case, just drag and drop a picture on top of its main window to load it. Alternatively, pressing the “SPACE” key reveals a list of files and choose the folder where the application should look for images. Small Foto Viewer displays all the images it finds in the selected directory.

You can navigate through the list of images manually but take into account that Small Foto Viewer can also play them all in slideshow mode, with a duration of 3 seconds for each, by default. This setting can be easily changed using the designated hotkeys.

And speaking of hotkeys, keep in mind that all the controls in Small Foto Viewer are mostly keyboard-based. For instance, the SPACEBAR opens the list, while ENTER opens the selected image using the default viewer. To see all the available controls, all you have to do is use the application’s right-click menu.

While an image is loaded in Small Foto Viewer, you can press the CTRL-S combination to open the “Save as” dialog. In other words, this application also allows you to export an image to another format, so it can act as a graphic converter as well.

For your convenience, Small Foto Viewer can also be integrated into the Windows context menu. To so do, just right-click on the main window and select the “Add to context menu” option.

Small Foto Viewer brings nothing new to the table but it does provide a simple and user-friendly picture viewer. It is somewhat similar to the viewer in Windows, but it displays a small window that stays on top of other programs for you to see pictures permanently.
