IconCool Free Graphics Converter

IconCool Free Graphics Converter is an intuitive program that comes in handy when you want to convert your images between various file types (WMF, DIB, ICO, PBM, PSD, VDA), and apply enhancements and corrections to poor-quality photos.

It's wrapped in a stylish and approachable layout, divided into three tabs, namely "Folders", "Settings" and "Effects", the thumbnail list and preview panel. A small toolbar at the top stacks several editing functions (zoom in and out, fit to screen).

You can load the pictures only using the file browser similar to Windows Explorer. You can open a wide variety of image formats, such as BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, WBMP, TGA, EMF, ICO, DIB, PBM, PCD or PCX.

All the photos from a folder are displayed at the bottom of the screen in thumbnail mode. The picture can be fitted to the window and rotated by 90 degrees clockwise and counterclockwise. To view small details, you can zoom in and out.

From the "Settings" tab, you have the option to select the output format, bits per pixel, quality and location on the drive, along with the thumbnail look in the list. The app lets you make corrections by adjusting the sliders for color balance, brightness, contrast, hue, saturation and luminance.

It's possible to apply special effects, like tile, mosaic, noise, grayscale, blur, sharpen, edge, wind, swirl or textured glass, and adjust their depth. Another nifty function is the slideshow builder, where you can generate a personalized slideshow with all your favorite images. It also features background music and password protection.
