PhotoScale!

PhotoScale! is a lightweight and simple-to-use program that allows you to change the size of your pictures and to convert them to other file types, namely JPEG or PNG.

This is a portable piece of software, so installing PhotoScale! is not necessary. It means that you can store the app on a USB flash drive or any other external device, save it to any computer and directly run its executable file.

You can always carry PhotoScale! with you when you're on the move. More importantly, the Windows Registry does not receive new updates, and no leftover files can be found on the hard drive after program removal.

The app is wrapped in a plain and intuitive interface where you can import items into the file list by using only the tree view, since 'drag and drop' is not supported.

You can preview the images within the frame, change their size, select a different file type for the output, specify the target location, and proceed with the rescaling procedure. You can set PhotoScale! to scan the subfolders as well. From the 'Options' menu, you can change the interface skin, toggle the resizing mode between static and proportional, as well as change the filename prefix, just to name a few.

The graphic editing tool requires a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and preserves a good image quality after conversion. No errors have occurred during our tests and PhotoScale! did not freeze or crash. First-time users can seamlessly learn how to work with this app, thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity.
