Badak for Mobile

Badak for Mobile is a simple-to-use program that enables you to convert video clips to the MP4 format, supported by mobile phones and the Sony PSP device. It supports several file types for the input, such as AVI, MKV, MPG, RM and WMV.

The interface of the application is made from a standard window with a well-defined layout, where you can import videos into the list using the file browser only, since "drag and drop" is not supported. Batch processing is allowed, so you can convert as many items as you want at once.

As far as audio and video parameters go, you can select the bit rate, frames per second, new size, volume level, sample rate, channel mode, position, and outline blur and thickness.

You can specify the output directory, switch to a different language for the GUI and pick the priority level, as well as make Badak for Mobile perform an encoding test, automatically power off the computer or trigger an alarm when the task is done.

The video conversion program runs on a low amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and carries out a task rapidly and without errors. It did not hang or crash during our evaluation. The output videos have a fair image and sound quality. On the downside, Badak for Mobile has not been updated for a very long time.
