It's a rare occurrence to find that your clip's format isn't supported, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. The need for video converter software is precisely to make sure one is prepared when such cases present themselves. You never know when they might come in useful, but when they do, you'll be glad to have had one installed.

These programs can get quite stuffy, but that doesn't have to be the case. In an effort to target the casual audience, BeeConverter offers a tool that is easy to operate, rapidly converting your clips with little effort required on your end.

As the app was conceived to be welcoming to everyone, getting it to work on your computer doesn't take much. Installing is business-as-usual and doesn't take long, so you'll be able to take advantage of the program's functions immediately.

The interface is simple, minimal, with big icons and clearly-defined features. The main screen presents an overview of the main functions: a Video Converter tool, a Trimmer and Merger, as well as a Video to GIF mode.

The highlight parts lie in the conversion capabilities: choose the Video Converter mode, drag your footage, then select the target format. You can opt for the same extension, but at a lower resolution, or you can select to only export the audio feed: .mp3, .wav, .wma, .aac, .flac, and .m4a are the available formats. Alternatively, you can convert to .mp4, .mkv, .mov, .m4v, and .avi if you want to export the whole clip.

There's also a device conversion preset: if you want to convert your clips to view on your iPhone, the relevant templates will change the video to fit the device's resolution.

The program is capable of turning your footage into a .GIF — drag the file in, click Convert, and there you are. As with any .GIF, it's best to keep it short, but perhaps that's more of a personal preference than anything.

If you wish to trim or join multiple videos together, then you're in luck. The Trimmer function works well and is pretty straightforward, and the same is true for the Merging capability.

BeeConverter is a piece of software that aims to target the casual audience, thanks to its intuitive interface and easy-to-operate nature, and we'd say it does a pretty good job at it.
