Fast Video Converter

Fast Video Converter is a practical and straightforward piece of software that was developed to assist you in turning movies to a variety of other formats, making them compatible with popular media rendering devices running either iOS or Android.

The application comes with a compact user interface, much of its functionality being sufficiently intuitive to pose little to no difficulty to inexperienced individuals.

The main window of Fast Video Converter lets you add the source files. From the dedicated menus, you can customize the output options in just a couple of clicks.

To load the movies, you need to browse through your system using the built-in file explorer after having clicked on the "Select Files" button. Multiple files can be added at the same time since the tool handles batch operations.

Subsequently, you can choose the preferred output format from iPhone, iPod, iPad, Android, 3GP, PSP, AVI or even MP3 if you want to extract the audio stream and save it in this format. Another configurable parameter refers to the resolution of the video, where you can either maintain the original size or select a different set of width and height dimensions from ready profiles: 176x144, 320x240, 480x320 or 640x480 pixels.

From the settings section of Fast Video Converter, you can define the destination folder of the generated files, after which you can click on "Start" to begin processing your movies. Once complete, you can open the storage folder and work with them however you please.

Unfortunately, the tool failed in its attempts to convert some video files in our tests, signalling an unspecified error. In other cases, it indicated successful conversions but the videos couldn't be played. Unfortunately, Fast Video Converter seems to have some stability issues that interfere with the video conversion operations. Also, it has little configuration settings available for users. Apart from the video resolution, it's not possible to change other audio and video settings for the output.
