FlvToMp3

FlvToMp3 is a lightweight and portable piece of software designed to extract the audio track from Flash video files (FLV format) and save it to MP3 file type, exactly as the name says.

It does not contain complicated features or configuration parameters, so it can be handled by all kinds of users, even the ones with little or no previous experience in video conversion applications.

Since there is no installation involved, you can drop the program files to any part of the hard disk and just click the executable to run.

There is also the possibility to save FlvToMp3 to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any PC with minimum effort and no previous installers.

What's worth taking into account is that the Windows registry and Start menu do not get updated with new entries, so there are no traces left behind after the app's removal.

The interface is ultra-simplistic, consisting of a single window that provides direct access to all options available in FlvToMp3. You can use the file browser to add FLV items to the task list since drag-and-drop is not supported.

Batch processing is possible, so users are able to work with multiple clips at once to reduce overall job duration. All you have to do is establish the output directory and click a button to start the conversion operation.

The tool extracts audio streams very fast from FLV clips and delivers quality sound. During this time, it remains light on CPU and memory, so it does not affect the machine's overall performance. There were no issues in our testing since the app did not hang, crash or pop up error messages.

It may not be a particularly resourceful application, but FlvToMp3 serves its purpose and quickly creates MP3 tracks from FLV items in single or batch mode. It caters to all user groups.
