Reduce file size for your audio-video sequences, with this application that can recode them into lossless video streams, for significant gains #Encode Video #Lossless Video #Recode Data #Encode #Lossless #LUT
Handling video data can involve challenging tasks, especially when dealing with specific formats and their particular inherent characteristics. Be it that we’re talking of video editing, or simply converting from one format to another, having the right software for the job can make a significant difference, especially when dealing with large volumes of data. One aspect that is often addressed when it comes to video content is compression, and consequently file size.
RAWcooked handles such aspects, by providing users with a tool that was designed specifically in order to allow them to encode RAW audio-visual sequences, into lossless video streams, and reduce the file size in the process, by up to between one and two-thirds, approximately.
The main functionality of the app revolves around relying on the FFmpeg encoder for the audio-visual data, which is encapsulated into a Matroska container, by means of the FFV1 codec for the video part of the stream, and the FLAC format for the audio part of the stream.
During the encoding process, the inherent RAW metadata is preserved, together with additional sidecar files, such as MD5 checksums or XML and LUT, in order to enable users to maintain their own management of the resulting data.
