Sog Video Converter Platinum is a simple-to-use application which enables you to encode media files to several extensions, including AVI, MP4, MPG, WMV, FLV, MP3 and 3GP. It can be handled by individuals of any experience level.

The interface of the program is clean and easy to work with. Media files can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is unsupported. Batch conversion is allowed.

In the queue you can read the source and output name and extension, length, size and duration of each clip. All you have to do is establish the output destination and file type, in order to proceed with the encoding task.

You can configure audio and video parameters when it comes to the quality, sample frequency rate, volume, frame rate, resolution and others.

You can preview clips and take snapshots, trim them by marking the start and end position, create a new output profile, as well as remove an item from the list or clear the entire queue. During conversion you can check out the initial and output name and format of the current clip, along with a progress bar, start and end time, current time and frame, duration and frames per second.

The media processing tool takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to preserve a good image and sound quality. Unfortunately, there is no help file available and you cannot change program settings (e.g. enable Sog Video Converter Platinum to automatically turn off the computer once all tasks have been completed). But we haven't encountered problems during our testing and strongly recommend Sog Video Converter Platinum to all users.
