Star Video Converter

Star Video Converter is an application which enables you to encode video clips to multiple formats, including VOB, AVI, MPG and MP4. It can be used by individuals of any experience level.

The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate though. Video clips can be imported via the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is unsupported. Batch processing is allowed.

In the queue you can check out the track number, source path and duration of each video. All you have to do is establish the output destination and file type, in order to proceed with the encoding task.

On top of that, you can change audio and video preferences when it comes to the TV mode, aspect ratio, codec, frame rate, resolution and volume.

The video conversion software takes up a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a good image and sound quality. We haven't come across any errors during our testing and Star Video Converter did not freeze or crash. You can also look into a tutorial with snapshots, along with daily tips.

On the other hand, the interface needs some improvements. Also, you cannot preview clips or configure the program's behavior (e.g. enable Star Video Converter to automatically turn off the computer after encoding). Nevertheless, we strongly recommend this tool to all users.
