Video2MP3

Video2MP3 is a lightweight Windows application whose purpose is to help you extract the audio streams from video files and save them to MP3 file format.

There is not much to brag about the user interface, as it sports a clean layout. Everything is kept as simple and clear as possible, so there are only a few configuration settings that need to be tweaked.

The video files can be added into the working environment with the aid of the built-in browse button or drag-and-drop support.

Video2MP3 works with various file formats, such as MP4, 3GP, FLV, WEBM, MOV, AVI, and others, and gives you the possibility to handle just a single file, so there’s no support for batch processing.

By default, the program exports the audio streams to MP3 file format and saves them in the same directory where the video file is stored. You can make the app automatically open the saving directory at the end of the task.

The lack of configurable settings make it an ideal tool for less experienced users who don’t want to spend too much time with tweaking the entire process.

On the downside, you cannot choose between different output formats (e.g. WAV, WMA, OGG) and pick the target location. During our testing we have noticed that the tool needs some extra time to finish the process but this pretty much depends on the size of the video files.

All things considered, Video2MP3 offers a simple software solution for helping you extract the audio streams from various video files, and is suitable especially for less experienced users.
