Keep an eye on what's happening in front of your PC while you're away by setting up a webcam monitoring session with picture, and video reports. #Webcam recorder #View webcam #Capture image #Capture #Recorder #Monitor
Most, if not all modern laptops are fitted by default with webcams, and so are some all-in-one computer models. A webcam can be used for more than just entertainment or getting in touch with friends. For instance, DawnArk WebCam Monitor allows you to use your webcam to see what’s in front of your computer, even if you’re away.
After a quick and uneventful setup process, you’re free to take the application for a spin to see what it’s all about. The visual design not only helps you quickly accommodate, but also makes a good first impression through polished elements, and intuitive overall layout.
If there’s only one webcam connected to your PC, then you don’t have any trouble setting up the rest of the parameters. If not, you might need to configure devices themselves, because there’s no built-in option to choose recording device.
In order for monitoring to be efficient, you need to pay a visit to the preferences panel. Here, you get to configure how you receive alerts and notifications, with options to add your Google Mail account, or Photobucket server. Monitor frequency, and diff threshold can easily be configured by choosing appropriate values from a drop-down menu.
The preferences menu is also the place where you can specify output format and quality, as well as general options related to offline save location of pictures, and clips. Video profiles let you select from AVI, ASF, WMV, and FLV formats, all of them with configurable settings for resolution, framerate, bitrate, and more.
You can either initiate a simple recording process, or hit the Monitor button to make the application record, and send data to specified services. However, it’s can’t hide, or minimize to the tray area, so if there’s anyone around to close it, monitoring sessions are at risk.
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that DawnArk WebCam Monitor wants to help you keep a third eye open from your computer’s point of view while you’re away. General options allow you to configure a couple of services to store data, but with no hide option, monitoring is always at risk.
