Due to the numerous customization options it offers, it’s no wonder Kodi is one of the most popular media centers out there. However, one of the issues with this great tool is that it lacks its own voice recognition features and hence, users need to appeal to Google Assistant or other third-party tools to manage Kodi via voice.

Hey Kodi! is a voice recognition tool for Kodi that enables users to manage their libraries and other aspects of the media center with voice commands. Users need to have Kodi installed on their system, as otherwise the application displays an error that it cannot find the media since it encountered a problem sending the request to Kodi.

As previously mentioned, the program allows users to manage various aspects of Kodi and they can do so via the Hey Kodi configuration page. For starters, users need to specify the Host, Port, username and password and then they can move on to check the already present voice commands.

For instance, they can say configuration to open this exact page, search to browse through the media, play or stop to initiate and respectively to shut down the playback. Users can also their own custom voice commands, in case they do not find a specific one they need or use frequently.
