MOV MetaEdit

The Ad-ID is a unique identifier known in USA's advertising industry, similar in functionality to a UPC (Universal Product Code). The purpose of this code is to allow the efficient identification of digital assets on any media platform in a distinct manner.

Sponsored by the Ad-ID association itself, MOV MetaEdit facilitates the quick editing of the metadata information in Apple QuickTime's MOV videos and MP4 files. The application can only edit Ad ID metadata at the moment, but new functionality concerning the supported standards could be added in the future.

The application comes with support for MP4 and MOV files, which can be opened manually from a source (disk, network, etc.) or in batch mode, by selecting the source directory. Note that due to various reasons, the automatic file parsing might fail.

The interface of MOV MetaEdit features an integrated table that stores each opened MOV or MP4 file on a different row. Aside from the complete path of the clip, the table also comprises editable information about the Ad ID registry and the corresponding values, both being editable fields. To modify a value, you simply have to double-click on a field and then start typing.

Once edited, the Universal Ad ID of the input files should be visible in MediaInfo.
