In a day and age when ensuring quality in almost any field is a staple requirement, there’s no wonder that TV broadcasting, especially in the digital medium, has high standards that need to be met. Closely monitoring and analyzing the broadcasted channel is highly important, and a wide range of frameworks have been developed in that direction, targeting real-time analysis, as well as SNMP monitoring for the said signal.

Addressing such requirements, SAMcorder was created as an application that can offer users the possibility to perform a real-time analysis of the digital broadcasting streams, as well as corresponding SNMP-based monitoring.

The application supports a wide range of video broadcasting formats, some of which include: ATSC-QAM, DVB-T (and all subsequent branches), ISDB-T, and more. Input from RF, ASI, IF, or files is supported, as well as outputting to multiple interfaces, simultaneously.

The entire TS stream, as well as any singular program services, can be manipulated using time-controlled capabilities, and the monitoring process can be carried out continuously, for hundreds of parameters.

Last but not least, a comprehensive analysis can be performed for all technical layers, such as RF, MPEG, PID, EPG, subtitles, Teletext, DSM-CC, conditional access, and many more.
