Tero Subtitler allows editing existing subtitle files, guaranteeing support for a variety of input formats, including the standard SUB, STL, TXT, and more. Subtitles can be imported to Tero Subtitler for editing. You can create subtitle files from scratch or even use the application’s AI-based audio recognition engine to process transcriptions and create subtitles from audio files.

The built-in editor features a user-friendly interface with a frame and time-based subtitle timeline to the left and a video preview to the right. The software allows modifying the subtitle text and altering the text style (alignment, effects). The application also comes packed with a case converter and various other text processing and formatting tools to make your job easier, including “search and replace” or “jump to line” functions.

The subtitle’s position on the screen can be changed to prevent it from covering an important area in the video. You are free to change the frame for each subtitle text to keep the text in sync to the video. For increased accuracy, fine adjustments can be made without a lot of effort.

While timings ca be adjusted manually, there are also options to change durations, setting delays or shifting times automatically, which might save you a great amount of time when dealing with large subtitle files. The time expander is used for making sure the audience gets to read a longer text corresponding to a frame.

Beyond its editing capabilities, the power of Tero Subtitler stands mostly in its collection of subtitles fixing tools. With just a few clicks, it allows you to remove unnecessary spaces and dots, repair invalid tags and durations that are too long or too short, fix overlapping display times, remove line breaks, repetitions and empty subtitles, and many more.
