New Video Joiner

As the name of this software implies, New Video Joiner allows you to merge video files of multiple formats, including ASF, MPG and WMV. But it can also convert them to other extensions, like AVI, WMV and MPEG.

The interface of the application is based on a standard window in which you can import video clips by using the file browse only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported.

In the list you can check out the source path, size and type of each file. Once you establish the output destination, file type and filename, you can proceed with the merging process.

You can modify audio and video settings when it comes to the compression level, size, frame rate, resizing method and others, as well as preview clips in a built-in media player and move items up and down in the list.

The video processing program takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a good image and sound quality after conversion. No errors have popped up during our tests and New Video Joiner did not freeze or crash. You can also view a well-written step-by-step tutorial.

On the other hand, you cannot change program settings (e.g. enable New Video Joiner to minimize to the system tray or to stay on top of other applications). Also, the interface needs some improvements. Other than that, we strongly recommend this tool to all users, both first-time and advanced ones.
