Create multiple video playlists using various different file formats, and enjoy them in a clean, practical player, which you can use on the go #Play video #Video player #Create playlist #Play #Player #View
If you want to enjoy your favorite shows offline, then you need to make sure your video player has what it takes to play those specific file formats. Conversion is also an alternative, but it can take some time and affect quality. A better alternative is to install another player, just like Serials Player, which might have what you need.
On the one hand, the application doesn’t take you through an installer to deliver its features, so it can just as well be carried around on a USB flash drive and used on other computers. One particular consequence of portability is that system registries remain intact, thus not affecting the overall status of the target PC.
A pretty intuitive interface shows up on launch, with a side panel that’s used as a playlist editor, while the other is home to the preview area and corresponding playback controls. Volume can be adjusted through a slider, with another one that lets you skip through various parts of content. Time is shown below, with an indicator for the current position, and total length.
Content can’t be dragged over the large playlist area, but working with the dialogs for individual files or entire folders is pretty easy. The type of files you can import is pretty decent, and you can play AVI, MPG, MPEG, MP4, WMV, WM, ASF, MOV, 3GP, MKV, FLV, and OGM videos.
Although the playlist editor seems a little shallow, there’s a bit more to it. First of all, it can be saved, or renamed, and is restored once you run the application again. What’s more, you can keep multiple playlists active at a time, because they open up in separate tabs.
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Serials Player comes with good intentions, decent file support for various video types, and the possibility to create multiple playlists, and even keep them up at the same time. However, it feels a little rough around the edges, with some frustrating elements like no support for drag and drop, or the limited preview area that can’t be resized.
