Streaming gameplay became a pretty popular thing nowadays, with various specialized services hosting these types of shows. AmaRecLite is a suitable example in this regard, and aims to help you capture live gameplay with little to no impact on performance.

One major advantage here is portability, because it allows you to carry your own recording utility wherever you go on a thumb drive. Registry entries are not modified in the process, so you don’t have to worry about the health status of the target PC. However, the computer you use it on needs to have AMV3 Video Codec installed to be able to properly capture, and create the output video file.

You’re free to choose a different output folder, and specify the maximum file size just to make sure you don’t run out of space. As far as the output type is concerned, an AMV file is generated, with the possibility to manually tweak codec settings. Cropping can be applied by specifying target values, as well as resizing, if necessary.
