Camera Plus

Camera Plus is a comprehensive and accessible application that comes bundled with video and photo functions to provide an efficient and quick way to record and make snapshots using the built-in camera, view and alter pictures, as well as convert clips between various formats and send them via email. 

It's wrapped in a look similar to a tablet with the video options positioned on the left side of the panel, the viewer in the middle, and image settings on the right. A basic menu is situated in the upper part and an album browser. Unfortunately, the layout is too cluttered for a novice to handle and might require some time to get familiarized with it. 

The first function turns on the camera so you can record a video, take a snapshot and further edit the output. To send it via email you have to set up the SMTP properties from the menu. What's more, you can enable the security system to monitor the activity of your computer while you're away from it, by capturing the screen and deliver the images via email. 

You can convert AVI and WMV files to MPEG formats quick and easy, as well as design slideshows with transitions effects and music for both video and photo records. The app comes with a default collage of pictures displayed in albums at the bottom, such as animal, fish and flower, but you have the option to import your own items from the hard drive.

 The tool offers an extensive collection of editing elements and filters to improve the quality of your files. Among them are brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, blur and mosaic, along with the ability to flip the image horizontally and vertically and rotate it to different angles. 

Taking everything into account, Camera Plus is a reliable yet difficult to work with, especially for those less experienced. It features various video functions (modification, recording, slideshow) and photo correction. During our testing, the utility executed most of the tasks swiftly and didn't encounter major errors.
