DiReec Screen Recorder

Recording your screen is a relatively straightforward duty that numerous dedicated software solutions should handle without a problem. There’s generally enough of a variety of tools for you to choose from, so what is ultimately important is finding the kind of program that is right for you.

If you place a lot of value in simplicity, DiReec Screen Recorder is a tool that should provide you with a simple, but effective way to capture your desktop. Aside from the general ease of use, the software also gives you the opportunity to configure your recordings in a few ways.

If you’ve used other screen recorders in the past, then much of this will look and feel familiar, starting with the interface. It seems as though this kind of interface is popular among such tools, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing: the functions of interest are all front-and-center, so operating the tool should be fairly easy for any type of user.

Recording your display can be done in a few ways. You can use the Screen function to select the capture area, which can be your entire desktop, or a more confined region, and this should cover most uses. You may also just record a specific app through Window, which can work just as well.

The program is also able to capture your webcam and microphone during the recording. Toggling those options was very easy, and the program managed to integrate them into my recordings without issues.

Though I find the program to be easy to pick up and use, I’ll have to note that it was less stable than I liked. More specifically, upon stopping screen capture, the program would crash to desktop, requiring to be launched again for a subsequent recording.

DiReec Screen Recorder is a program that should work relatively well for recording your desktop. Free users should keep in mind that the program will only produce 3 captures in the Demo version before requiring a license.
