Electron Screen Recorder

There may come a time when we want to record our screen. Whether it will be for using the footage in some content that we want to post on the internet or to give to someone as video instructions, we will need something to help us with this.

If you do not plan on doing anything complicated, then Electron Screen Recorder is the perfect tool to assist you with this.

Using this application should be a walk in the park for pretty much anyone. It only has 3 main buttons and all of them are very clear to understand.

First, there is the Start button which begins the recording when pressed. Next to it is the Stop button which ends the recording. And under them is the button used to select what to record.

If you will be performing certain actions that will happen across the entire screen, then you can choose the option to record it all.

However, if whatever you are doing is going to be accomplished through only one program, then you do not need the whole desktop. Instead, you can choose to only record the window that you will be working on.

It's nice that it is so easy to record with it, but that also means it has some flaws. The program literally does not have any Settings or Options menu. Basically, what you see is everything that you get with it.

For a simple user, not having any options wouldn't be a big deal, but it doesn't even have hotkeys. Unless you have multiple screens, then the program will appear in the recording, as you cannot start or stop if it is minimized.

If you just want to use it to send someone a video of how to run a certain app, then Electron Screen Recorder will be perfect. But for any more complex purposes, I would suggest you try something else.
