HDHR-VCR

HDHR-VCR is a lightweight piece of software that allows you to record various programs and TV shows at scheduled times using the available tuners on the LAN.

The program does not require installation per se, but rather you can decompress the archive in any desired location on your local drives. The device should detect the TV Tuner you have installed on your computer automatically. On the other hand, if it does not, then you should check whether the signal is blocked by your firewall and if the path to the HDHomeRun is correct.

The application comes with a user-friendly application that is split into two main sections, namely the Tuners and Recordings. The date is presented clearly in a table along with other useful information, such as start and end time, channel, output file and the status of the recording.

You should know that the application enables you to define the parameters you prefer for the recordings, such as user filename, recurrence type, tuner used, station, channel, start time, end time, status, high priority record, so on and so forth.

As far as the functionality is concerned, first you need to run a channel scan and discover all stations available. You can start a session by specifying the times and channel and then hitting the New Recording button at the bottom of the UI.

You should keep in mind that there is a chance that the programs and the Titan TV station are mismatched or incomplete. You can double click on any of the channels to edit and fill in the required information, if necessary.

All is all, HDHR-VCR is a reliable application that provides VCR-like capabilities and enables you to record your favorite TV shows from the channels you are commonly watching without too much hassle.
