Users can record their desktop for different purposes, and as far as the selection of available software is concerned, there’s plenty of stuff to go around. Simple desktop recorders are often chosen by many as their solution of choice, as they provide the required core functionalities while keeping everything simple.

IUWEsoft Screen Recorder Wizard Pro is a good example of that, as it gives users a series of features that should help them record their display in various circumstances.

The program is very much in line with what you would normally expect from an app targeted toward a general audience. That is to say, operating it is fairly straightforward, mostly due to the way in which users can access the functions of interest within a few clicks.

Recording your entire desktop, or just a region of it, is as easy as it gets. By default, the app is set to record your full screen, and from there, pressing the REC button and starting the actual recording takes less than a few seconds.

Focusing your recording to a specific region is just as simple: drag the mouse to the relevant area, and a localized recording will start there. Another option is to record an app’s window exclusively.

Some users may like the fact that the program will automatically record webcam footage and include it in your videos. If you don’t want that, you can modify the video source to No Webcam.

You may also toggle the Increase Mouse Click Effect and Show Keyboard Keys options, which can prove especially useful if you’re recording a tutorial of some sort. Any produced videos will be exported as .avi files, and there’s unfortunately no way to change that. The same applies for modifying video and audio bitrates, managing compression, and other technicalities: the lack of configurability may be a dealbreaker for more advanced users.

IUWEsoft Screen Recorder Wizard Pro is a modest screen capture utility: you either like it for its simplicity and ease of use, or look elsewhere for a solution that features more configurability. I should also note that the Demo version is really quite lenient with its limitations: it can only record your screen for up to 30 minutes, which is better than I expected.
