As the name suggests, Multiple Monitor Recorder is a simple and straightforward application that enables you to capture multiple desktops at the same time.

While the app is not portable in the true sense of the word, it doesn’t require installation, so simply decompress the archive and launch the app to get started. The app doesn’t have an interface and you can access the settings from the System Tray.

Configuring the tool is quite simple and entails specifying a few details, such as the output folder where the videos will be saved, whether you prefer manual or automatic file duration and selecting the monitors that should be captures. You can also include an indicator circle around the cursor, if you prefer, but you can’t customize anything about it, except the color.

The application is designed for recording only. If you want to edit or post-process the video, you need to look for another third-party program. When you first launch the app, you are greeted with a message that recommends FFmpeg as a video converter. Although you are not forced to download or use this particular app, bear in mind that the output will only be available as AVI, whereas the size of the clip could be quite large.
