Software development can be a true challenge, especially when it comes to the ups and downs of creating apps and testing their iterations. Keeping track of the identified bugs, their behavior, and other characteristics, is often difficult and yields true archives just for the bugs themselves.

Designed specifically in order to address the issue of recording bugs, or unexpected app behavior, QAReplay will provide users with a screen recorder that allows them to define particular parameters for recording the said aspects.

Deployed as an app that offers its functions via the tray area icon, QAReplay’s functionality revolves around several key features, which all control the way in which it performs the recording process. To that end, users will be able to select a preferred recording length (only pre-defined increments are available), the input source (either a window or the entire screen), as well as the storage destination for the resulting video files, which can be local or remote.

Aside from any obvious glitches or actual bugs, the application will also record erroneous or unusual behavior and all the recordings will be stored using naming conventions that utilize the date and time. A history of the recordings allows users to access them straight from the app, without having to navigate to their respective directory.
