Bandwidth Monitor Pro

Bandwidth Monitor Pro is a Windows tool designed to monitor network adapters and bandwidth users, providing a great amount of customization options to help it serve this purpose.

The main window of the app may seem a bit unprofessional to you and way too simple, as it displays a bunch of statistics, including current download and upload speed.

The settings screen however is a bit more important, it lets you configure not only the way the application looks, but also the network adapters to monitor and logging.

First of all, you are required to pick the network adapter and the downstream and upstream connection information, as well as transfer speed and data rates.

You are allowed to adjust layout, but also to pick the items to be displayed in the main window, with options including download and upload rates, transfer overview and graphs.

Another good thing about Bandwidth Monitor Pro is the fact that it places an icon in System Tray and shows information in real time, without even affecting the overall performance of the computer.

Bandwidth Monitor Pro works flawlessly on most Windows versions, but we've experienced some problems on Windows 7 where it couldn't identify all network adapters on our computers.

Overall, Bandwidth Monitor Pro is a decent application, but the market is so full of similar apps that it's pretty difficult to choose one that offers only a basic interface. It's a good thing however that it can be safely installed by all types of users without the risk of getting lost in the interface.
