IP Viewer

If you have a static IP, a simple online check will get you the address in no time. If the IP is dynamic, using the browser is still a possibility, but it won't go as smoothly as having a dedicated program that focuses on providing you a quick peek and clipboard access to your network fingerprints. IP viewer was designed to make viewing your IP address without needing the browser, and it could prove handy to users who must keep a close eye on their host identity.

IP viewer does not come with a GUI. When launched, a shortcut will be placed in the system tray. From there, one can manually refresh IP information, copy the address to the clipboard or check out the core settings. To simply check the address, hover the cursor over the shortcut and the tooltip will display it.

Speaking of settings, the selection is relatively brief. The most useful tweak is surely the refresh rate timer, which lets you decide how long it should take for a new IP scan to occur. Other than that, one can determine the app's behavior when closed or minimized and opt to keep logs for external IP address and adapter information.

Visually, you can use the provided slider to adjust the transparency of the settings pane. Useful? Not really, unless you want to be very subtle with the app's presence on the machine.

IP viewer is nothing more than a standard program that makes the IP easier to see and access. It is lightweight, intuitive, and unintrusive, as the system tray is the only area it can be found. Users with dynamic IPs should find it handier than anyone else.
