It allows you to switch between preconfigured network settings with a single click. It comes with lots of neat features and tools, all neatly arranged in an intuitive graphical interface.
The application doesn't take long to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can actually use it. It sports a really intuitive graphical interface with plenty of nice tools at hand.
Virtual Switcher allows you to switch between preconfigured network settings with a single click. You can use the trial version of this application for 30 days until you will need to upgrade to the paid version.
The first thing that you need to do after launching the application is to create a profile. The application will automatically display information on your network connection, like the IP, subnet mask, gateway, DNS and DHCP.
You can make some IP settings and enable the network card for more features. You can also pick one of the network adapters that you have installed on your system. It also comes with some dial-up or VPN connections, you can set the wait time before the connection is dialed.
It comes with a separate section that displays network drive mapping and lets you edit items. You can also adjust putty settings and add your own putty account to the network.
It comes with some settings that you could do to your browsers, including to Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome or Safari. There's the option to set the start page and make some proxy settings. Printer settings can be adjusted and it comes with the option to disable Windows Firewall.
