The Internet is filled with all sort of software solutions that you could use in order to enhance features on your computer. One of such applications is PassPort. It's a nice program that allows you to forward any local port to a remote server.
It's packed with plenty of nice tools and features that you can check out, but it does have a quite simplistic graphical interface.
The application doesn't take long to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can actually use its features. It's packed with some nice tools, all neatly arranged in an intuitive but quite simplistic interface that could use some more tools at hand.
It doesn't come with a settings menu, which means that you can't make any adjustments to the application's features or its graphical interface.
The application allows you to adjust its status, simple switch between start or stop to launch or end processes. You can even restart operations and check the event log at the bottom of the screen.
It will arrange all events inside the application in a nice list, but you won't be able to print or export it into a document on your computer.
It comes with a separate section in which you can check out the ports that you've forwarded and add a new source port. You can adjust the target port and manage the ones that you would like to forward to a specific server.
You will need to provide the host address and the name of the port. When you're done, simply run the application and forward multiple ports to a certain server.
PassPort is a very nice software solution for forwarding ports to a specific server, but it would have been nice if it came with some more tools and features.
