rxInventory

rxInventory is a reliable tool designed to listen to various devices connected to your computer locally or remotely in the same network. The application can manage various forms of networks ranging from small personal one to large companies, with thousands of clients. You can monitor both hardware, connections and software.

rxInventory is capable of scanning the computer on which it is installed and detect the activity of software, network connections and hardware devices. The program features reliable protocols that it employs to scan the computer and other devices in the network. You may create new protocols or edit the existing ones at any time.

A scan group implies specifying the Windows user account, the SSH user (if required), as well as the names of the SNMP communities. You may add several hosts/IPs, IP ranges, Active Directory or Collection Directory as sources for the scanning process. The scan group can be further customized through Visual Basic scripts and you may set certain advanced options.

The events you can monitor include print services, access denied, unknown user or bad passwords. You may also receive notifications of no WMI, SSH problems, scan range failures or inserter failures.

Not only can rxInventory scan workstations, but it can also analyze local servers, network devices and other uncategorized items. It can offer information on connected switch ports, user-defined properties, IP addresses, OS details, memory, hardware or software.

The program is simple to use and features a straightforward interface. The sources for analysis can be accessed from the tree structure on the left while the workspace is reserved for displaying results or changing options.

The data acquired through the scans in rxInventory can be filtered and exported via a report, which you can save to your computer in HTML, MHT, PDF or CSV files. You may also view the saved reports in a dedicated area in the program.
