You to not need a complex tool to find out what devices are connected to your network. Instead, you can call to a simple application such as O&O Lanytix, which can help you identify all network devices and get information regarding their properties.

One plus of O&O Lanytix is that it requires no installation. In other words, the application is ready for use once you double-click on the executable file. The main window prompts you to initiate a new network analysis, which you can easily do with the click of a button.

O&O Lanytix scans the local area network in order to find all the available devices. The items are displayed one by one, as the applications detects their presence. All the information is displayed in a neatly organized table, which contains the device’s operating status and name, alongside connectivity-related details, such as the IP and the MAC addresses, or the ping timeout.

The operating system running on the device is also displayed, along with the manufacturer’s name and the date and time the device was first and last seen as active. Any changes related to a device is shown in the designated column. All this information can be easily exported to CSV format for later use.  In a large network, the list of devices might be extensive, which makes finding a specific entry a bit difficult. Luckily, O&O Lanytix comes with a built-in search option that allows you to filter your data.

Aside from getting information about the devices in your network, O&O Lanytix also reveals relevant details about your machine. The user’s and the machine's names, the network adapter and its connection type, the local IP address, the subnet mask, MAC address and DNS servers, the default gateway and the DHCP server data are shown.

O&O Lanytix comes in handy for exploring the components of a LAN, but keep in mind that it does not allow you to perform network management operations. In other words, it is merely a network query tool that you can use to view and monitor the settings of network devices.
