Keep an eye on incoming and outgoing data packages through your network card from a cool desktop panel, and optimize memory with a built-in component #NET monitor #Network traffic #Performance monitor #NET #Monitor #Network
Most computers are constantly connected to the information superhighway, but even when idle, data packages travel through your connection. Chances are you want, or need to keep this process under control, and with Aldo's NET Monitor you can monitor incoming, and outgoing data from a simple desktop panel.
A cool advantage is the application skips you the whole effort of pressing a few “Next” buttons to get it installed, allowing you to store, and use it directly from a USB flash drive. Another perk of portability is that system registries remain intact during usage, thus not having an impact on the stability of the computer you use it on.
Running the application brings up a tiny panel on your desktop, and chances are you get to spend some time identifying it, especially since the main window is fitted with a fixed transparency value. Don’t worry, you can change the size to two other types, showing more details, but the transparency level can’t be changed.
All options you need to handle are found in a dedicated context menu. The core one is the network card selection, with the application detecting, and allowing you to select from a list of available items. Details are updated in real time, and you can view received and sent bytes, download, and upload speed, as well as a graph for better visualization.
Apart from the network monitor graph, there’s a built-in memory optimization panel. It shows real time usage. What’s more, a slider helps you free up some space by setting the target amount. The application can be made to run with Windows to monitor activity right from the start. There’s an option to keep it on top of other windows, but this steal focus, and can easily get frustrating.
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Aldo's NET Monitor helps you keep an eye on everything going through your network card. The panel is pretty appealing in terms of visuals, even if you can’t set transparency. It saves you some effort by automatically running with Windows, and can also help recover some memory.
