Modern day activities carried on the PC mostly require you to have an active Internet connection. With the majority of programs and services using a little bit of bandwidth, you might experience drops in performance, which is not really comfortable situation. In order to know when it's about to get sticky, Internet Status comes as a small indicator that displays the status of your connection.

When the application runs, a compact and simple interface pops up for a short while. It displays several details along with author contact details, after which it disappears. Don't worry, it only got minimized to the system tray, because it's not much to look at and saves you the time of doing so.

The application only serves the purpose of displaying info, with little to no options to manage. The tray icon is a small indicator that lets you know whether or not your Internet connection is alive, with green for good, yellow for unstable or slow, and red for no activity.

Nothing can be changed to make viewing more comfortable, but you can keep the main window up because it takes little space. It also shows two more indicators besides the one fitted in the tray icon. As such, you can view the status of your modem connection, and for a local network.

Stability is good, but not flawless. This is because the application is a veteran on the market considering the publishing date, and no updates seem to be in plan any time soon, which is a major disappointment. What's more, you might want to enable compatibility mode if running it on latest Windows iterations, as well as allowing administrator privileges in order to avoid a few minor defects.

On an ending note, Internet Status is a small and reliable application with which you can keep an eye on your LAN and Internet connection at all times. However, it could do extremely good with a few more features, both because it needs compatibility for proper functionality, and there's little variety in options to view and manage.
